Italian legends have it that in the 1400's crowing roosters saved the then ruler of Florence, Giuliano de' Medici's, life. Soon afterwards he threw a party to celebrate his luck, where he had pitchers made in the shape of roosters and filled with local Tuscan red wine. Since then, roosters have been a symbol for good luck. Our Il Canto del Sol Collection is inspired by the luck of the rooster!
